In Boos world a new 101 bag designing book has been purchased, and more design-mode pencil chewing is underway for new additions to the Boo's Bags range! And with all this pencil chewing, and during a little sneaky break, found the following exciting news that just had to be shared!

Boo’s Bags has been thinking, and thinking hard………. And thinks it might just all be about one thing, and its not chocolate! Nope, Boo’s Bags is thinking it might just be down to Christmas!

What makes people go to craft fairs? Is it that holiday mooching walk around a honey-pot destination? Or is it for the discovery of that special-handmade-one-off piece of art? Gotta be the latter to show how much you care, surely!

So here a festive toast to Crimble gift giving! And for any bag lovers (and those that know some!), come feast on Boo’s Bags – next event Spalding, South Holland Centre, 15^th October 2011, 10.00 – 15.00 – it'd be fab to see you there!

Got not mind to worry………. Ok, that last bits not quite true…… there’s always ‘mind’ (whatever that might look like) to fret over which bag to make next, and which material to make it with!

But like all good little Boo’s, there is a plan, make one, post it to the website and Facebook, and let the comments and ‘likes’ roll in (and then orders shall follow!) and fingers hurt from being crossed and touching wood whilst typing!!!

Boo has a stash, in fact Boo’s Bags has many stashes! Pins, fabric, off cuts, thread, burns from the iron, but the new stash is business cards, or more accurately, crafty business cards!

Although it’s sometimes hard to fight the urge to play snap with these cards, what do they tell you? Well, apart from being a collectomanic (<- get Boo with the urban lingo!) as this blog is typed, websites are being returned, ideas are being researched, and tips are being picked! And that reminds Boo, all this typing is thirsty work and the kettle is calling!

Yesterday was a big day in Boo’s World as Boo’s Bags was taken national! Ok, to Oundle at least, but all Boo’s have to start somewhere, and Saturday 13 August 2011 will forever be Boo’s first outing in the craft event-ing world!

And it went well! Better than well, not only did we manage to find the hall, get set up well before the starting gun, but we sold some of our much loved bags too!

The craft world is an exciting place to be, so friendly and relaxed too, Boo’s Bags has a feeling that the craft event-ing bug may have bitten!

Gotta Lotta......Metal!?!......

So what is it that makes Boo's Bags so lush - well for all you gals that like sparkles, we think it's down to our metal.....!

Not only does it make our bags that extra bit more shiny, but those pieces of metal add the practical, hard-wearing elements to our bags too! From snap hooks, to D-rings, to magnetic clasps, eyelets and rivets you'll find them all featured somewhere on our creations!

Operation Stock

After deciding that life is too short and some dreams have to be followed, the Boo's Bags world is turning its attention to creating stock to sell at the August craft fair.

After much pencil chewing and 'oooh'ing and arh'ing' over fabric websites, Operation Stock has begun in earnest (helped by a nicely timed holiday by one of the founders).

So new bag patterns, fabric designs, purse frames, and other bag metal hardware are being purchased and worked up into prototypes ready for the first outing of Boo's Bags. Designs are being posted to our sites (this one and Facebook) we'd love to get your feedback and know whether we're on the right track!
